Retro- or preservation computing
When you worked with computers in the seventies and eighties, you would often curse at the limited capacity and speed of the hardware of the day. Today, where this has been solved for any reasonable use, one might feel some nostalgia for those simpler times where every byte counted. Some very elegant software solutions were created out of sheer necessity.
What was it like back then? The goal of this website is to provide a sense of the tools we used.
